Our office uses modern, state-of-the-art technology to enhance patient comfort and to help you get the smile you deserve! Computer Digital Radiography (CDR)
The use of the dental laser now enables us to provide the latest technology available in dental treatment. The Er.YAG laser is used for many types of decay removal and most soft tissue surgery. Lasers are revolutionizing the way we treat dental disease. They work by emitting a precise, specialized beam of light that gently targets and destroys dental decay and removes soft tissue. Lasers provide safe, fast, comfortable and effective treatment for both hard and soft oral tissues. They eliminate the unpleasant noises and vibrations of conventional dental treatment. Sometimes it is necessary to combine conventional procedures with laser treatment depending on the procedure and technical difficulty involved. Lasers promote faster healing and little or no post surgical discomfort, especially with frenectomies and gingival (gum) surgery. Lasers sterilize the treatment area. Laser treatment sometimes requires little or no numbing. Lasers are gentler to the oral tissues then conventional methods of treatment. Our office uses an advanced laser-activated procedure that is only available from your dentist. Micro-dentistry & Air Abrasion Micro-dentistry is a new, alternative way to treat decay in teeth. Using air abrasion, we remove as little of the natural tooth as possible while removing all of the decay. With the advent of our new bonding techniques, decay indicating dyes, magnification, fiber-optic lights and white filling materials, decay can be conservatively removed from a tooth and a filling placed that will restore a tooth to its original strength and beauty.
The DIAGNOdent is a new high tech laser system that aids in early diagnosis of cavities in the complex anatomy of the chewing surfaces of teeth. It utilizes laser light of a defined wavelength to help detect and quantify demineralized tooth substances without x-ray exposure. Intraoral Camera
